About the Job
Speech Pathology for Schools is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist on a full-time basis. Your job will be to support a small number of professional speech pathologists accountable for the delivery of a full range of speech pathology services to mainstream primary or secondary schools in Melbourne.
You will support a small number of speech pathologists by providing day-to-day guidance, regular one-on-one meetings, feedback, coaching and professional development planning.Â
Collaboration within the school context working with Principals, Student Welfare Co-ordinators, Teachers, Learning Support Officers, Parents and Students.Â
Taking on responsibility for key operational or clinical accountabilities.
Establish well-developed interpersonal relationships with schools.Â
Use and provide evidence-based research in treatment and support of teachers, parents and students in the school contextÂ
You will continue to practice as a speech pathologist, along side having additional operational and clinical responsibilities. Typically, 2-3 days per week would be dedicated to team support duties with the remaining days dedicated to delivering speech pathology services to your allocated school/s.Â
You will be provided with professional development and coaching.
You will be entitled to seven weeks paid annual leave.

You will be a qualified Speech Pathologist eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia and have demonstrated experience in the science of literacy and oral language development with at least 3 years’ experience working in a speech pathology or educational environment, or equivalent.
You will hold a valid Working with Children check. You will have a Victorian drivers licence willing to travel to school locations.
